Persian Tabriz Mahi Rug

The origin of this carpet is Tabriz City of Iran and has been made by Urban weavers settled over there.  Very fine sheep wool with silk touch has been used in this carpet. It has double knot weaving and caries around 300 knots in one Sq.  inch. This is one of the good quality double knot wool carpet of Iran and it is quite durable.  The pattern of this carpet is known as Tabraiz Mahi (fish scales). Mahi is for fish in Persian.
