Turkmen Rug 7 x 9.5 Ft

The origin of this carpet is North of Afghanistan and has been made by Bashiri tribe settled over there. 100% handspun fine sheep wool with vegetable dyes have been used in weaving. It has a well known pattern called "Bashiri" on the name of the weaver's clan of Turkmen tribe. This carpet has a compact weaving hence very long lasting. It is about 30 years old.
